In search of the land of his parents, as well as for a holiday, Bernard Braden comes to the Firth of Clyde. Travelling by train and steamer he finally reaches Arran and finds the 'Scotland in miniature' whence his grandmother sailed for the Ndew World. It is a holiday of discovery illuminated with typical Brendan humour.


The Land of Robert Burns (1956)

This is a short account of the poet's life set among mid 1950's scenes of the people of South West Scotland as they grow from childhood to manhood. A representative selection of his songs take on fresh significance when heard against the background of the people and country he knew and loved.
